EXPERIENCE BEHIND SWX

Severe WX Forecasting was created from more than two decades of experience working in aviation operations, where weather awareness, risk assessment and timely decision-making are part of everyday operations.

That experience includes flight dispatch and operational leadership in complex, weather-sensitive environments, along with years of personal study and field experience with severe weather.

SWX combines numerical weather guidance, radar analysis, observed conditions and official information to identify developing weather threats and communicate them in a clear, practical format.

The goal is not to replace official watches and warnings, but to provide earlier situational awareness when conditions appear favourable for significant weather.
